Rex Rabbits

Goldiestud was named after my first orange rex, "Goldie", who was acquired from the late Cyril Ridgeway. Unfortunately, there are no digital images of this wonderful doe, however, there is a digital image of one of Goldie's daughters below: "Silke".

Next one to join Goldiestud was "Jasper", who was acquired from Joe Philips, another, long-established breeder of orange rex.

These two wonderful rabbits went on to produce my very first, owner-bred orange rex: Silke, Bamby and Trude, with Silke having been my most successful orange rex of all.

Silke's claims to fame were five Best Rex; winning the NOFRRA (National Orange & Fawn Rex Rabbit Club http://www.nofrra.co.uk/) Stock Show on 25.11.2000, out of 26 orange rex; a BiS at the South Bucks Show in Bledlow Ridge and, the best of all, coming best doe and second AA (any age) orange rex out of 41 at the London Championship Show in October 2000.

Below is Silke, the best and most successful orange rex I have bred so far.

In honour of all of Goldie's off-springs great achievements so far, I named the stud after her, Goldiestud.
